LostInOrbit

Orbital crisis & satellite rescue challenge.

The Al Amal Space Club and the Physics Department at GEMS New Millennium School proudly present LostInOrbit, a sub-event of AstroNexus’26. Designed for Grade 6 students, this immersive crisis-simulation challenge introduces participants to practical physics, satellite telemetry, cryptography, and hands-on engineering problem-solving.

Students step into Earth Command Mission Control to resolve an emergency orbital crisis — recovering critical communications, weather, and GPS satellites. Teams decode encrypted signal transmissions, construct debris shielding, calculate gravity-assisted trajectory paths, re-route severed solar power grids, and present an emergency rescue strategy to a panel of judges.
